Dear Patch MS Families,

Spring is in full bloom and with it comes a vibrant season of learning, celebration, and student achievement! I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible efforts of our students, staff, and families as we dive into the final stretch of the school year.

We’re thrilled to invite you to our upcoming Celebrate the Arts" Family Fun Night on April 24th hosted in collaboration with Patch Elementary School. This free Month of the Military Child (MOMC) event will feature student performances, art displays, indoor and outdoor games, delicious food, and even free ice cream! All ages are welcome, and we hope you’ll join us for an evening of creativity and community.

Our PBIS theme for this quarter is “Work Hard, Finish Strong.” In every classroom and across all grade levels, we are emphasizing the importance of consistent effort, time management, and staying organized. Whether it’s keeping up with assignments, studying for assessments, or participating in class discussions, these daily habits are the building blocks of long-term success. Students are being reminded that their choices now have a real impact—and that strong habits lead to strong results.  We’re proud of the growth our students have shown, and we’re committed to helping them end the year on a high note.

April is the Month of the Military Child, and we’re celebrating our amazing military-connected students all month long! Our students show strength, flexibility, and heart every single day—and we think that’s worth celebrating. Join us at the events sponsored by the Patch MS and Patch ES PTSA!

Thank you for your continued support!

Warm regards,
Mrs. Gamble and Mrs. Small

PAWS - Problem Solve-Always Care-Work Hard-Show Respect

This Quarter, our PBIS focus is on "Work Hard," representing the W in our school-wide theme PAWSProblem Solve, Always Care, Work Hard, Show Respect. At our school, working hard means giving your best effort, staying focused, and pushing through challenges with determination. Whether it's participating in class, completing assignments on time, or helping others succeed, showing a strong work ethic helps build a positive learning environment for everyone. Let's celebrate the power of perseverance and encourage one another to stay committed, take pride in our efforts, and strive for excellence every day!

We'll work to meet the "No Tardies" challenge from April 14 - 28.  All students who arrive to class on time every period will get to celebrate with a Popcorn on the Porch treat by our PTSA!  Thank you to all the parent volunteers who collaborate with us to encourage our students to be their best!

Positive Office Referrals - Students Caught Working Hard!

Positive office referrals

At Patch Middle School, we believe in recognizing students who go above and beyond to create a positive and supportive environment. This month, several students received Positive Office Referrals for demonstrating kindness and compassion toward their peers, both in and out of the classroom. Whether helping a classmate with a tough assignment, including someone new at lunch, or offering words of encouragement during a challenging moment, these students embody the values of respect and empathy that make our school community stronger. Their actions serve as a reminder that small gestures of kindness can have a big impact, and we are proud to celebrate their efforts!

Receiving Positive Office Referrals not only celebrates students' kindness but also reinforces the importance of empathy and leadership in their school journey. Demonstrating positive character traits like compassion and teamwork can strengthen their relationships with peers and teachers, creating a more supportive learning environment.

Patch Middle School Expectations - Digital Norms

This month at Patch Middle School, we're spotlighting the importance of healthy digital habits with the video Hack the Habits! In this fun and relatable video, students discover how everyday choices—like locking their screen and using devices for the intended purpose—can dramatically improve focus, reduce distractions, and support academic success. In class, students will revisit how small shifts in digital behavior can lead to big wins in productivity.  As we explore these strategies, we're encouraging students to take charge of their digital lives and build habits that will serve them both in and out of school.
