Patch MS Students Reach for the Stars at Space Camp!
Check out our students in action in the image gallery

Patch Middle School students recently embarked on an out-of-this-world adventure at Space Camp, where they explored the wonders of space through hands-on activities and immersive experiences. Over the course of several days, students participated in a series of exciting activities, including building and launching rockets, experiencing the thrill of the rotor, which simulated 2.7 G-forces, and even using scuba gear to fix a module underwater—an exercise designed to mimic working in space.
One of the most memorable highlights was the mission activity, where students took on assigned roles in a simulated space mission. From launching to orbiting and landing, they worked together to manage mission control, solve problems, and ensure a successful journey. The Space Camp experience offered a unique opportunity for students to develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a deeper appreciation for the science and technology behind space exploration.
Mr. Luis Lugo and Mr. Samuel Eller were excited to guide our students through this incredible experience. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Spouse’s Club and PTSA for their generous donations, which helped make this unforgettable adventure possible. Patch MS is proud to provide our students with opportunities to explore, learn, and dream big!
