Michael Myrga

Biography

With over a decade of experience in education and school leadership, Mr. Myrga brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to student achievement. He most recently taught middle school math at Brussels Unit School in Belgium, where he also served as senior class sponsor, school bookkeeper, math-focused collaboration leader, and a member of the School Improvement Leadership Team. Prior to his time in Belgium, Mr. Myrga began his DoDEA career as a middle school science teacher at Scott Middle School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Additionally, he has held teaching roles in Orange County Public Schools in Florida and the West Contra Costa Unified School District in California, where he taught both middle and high school science.

"Mr. Myrga brings a depth of experience related to secondary teaching and learning. He understands the unique needs of our middle school staff and students," said Dr. Fales. "His passion and energy for middle school education will be felt immediately in our community."

A native of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Mr. Myrga holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology with a minor in Mathematics from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

Mr. Myrga is excited to serve the Stuttgart community in his new role and looks forward to contributing to the success of Patch Middle School.
